As a preschool teacher, this is definitely a book I'd read to my class in October. The artwork was simple but well done, perfect for the target audience, I think. My only critique (and it's not even a major one) is that staying in rhythm to the song and adding in "spooky" felt tricky. If I were to read it out loud, I'd probably just say "there was a ghost"…"there was a skeleton"… etc to keep the beat better. But also, maybe that's just me!
The song was so much fun, we sing it all the time together now as a family. I love that you can download an MP3 to go with it.
