Ritu Kumar

Ritu Kumar lives in British Columbia with her spirited young daughters, Diya and Vaani, who inspire many of her stories. A physician by day and storyteller by night, she writes picture books filled with humour, imagination, and heart. As a South Asian author, Ritu hopes that more children can see themselves reflected in the stories they love.
